Most internships take place during the summer when you're on a break. However, we do have ARAMARK locations that provide year round internships that may be appropriate for part-time students or students with flexible schedules. Our recruitment period typically runs from mid-September through mid-November and again from mid-January through mid-April.
You bet. ARAMARK internship pay and benefits package is competitive with most hospitality and service industry internship programs. Some business lines also offer employee housing during the internship.
One of the best parts of working for ARAMARK is our national and international presence. Serving clients and customers in more than 18 countries, we literally have opportunities everywhere we do business. During the interview process, we will discuss your relocation interests. Your hours will vary according to your position, industry and location.
While an internship can't guarantee you a full time position after graduation, you can view your internship as a "test drive." You can find out if ARAMARK is right for you while being able to demonstrate your skills and commitment to those you work with and for. If the fit is right, who knows?
Once we receive your application, you should receive an acknowledgement within a couple of hours. We then follow up directly with those applicants who most closely match the requirements and qualifications for each of our open positions. See our Application Process.
Please let us know when information changes in your profile. You can update your profile at any time, simply by logging in to your account. If you get a new email address, the system may require you to create a new profile unless you change the address in your profile first.
The skills you learn and experience you gain is readily transferable to any major. At ARAMARK, you get real work experience in a real world setting, learning how to work with clients and customers worldwide, manage employees, solve problems, think on your feet and more.
ARAMARK will definitely consider qualified candidates who may need a Visa to work in the United States. Sponsorships for non-immigrant Visas depend on a number of factors, including the position the candidate is applying for.
The first interview usually takes place on campus. The second interview will either take place at the possible place of employment or at a regional location nearby.
Yes. Before your interview begins, share your resume with the interviewer. They may only have your online application otherwise and some things on it may be out of date at the time of the interview.
You bet. If you're not selected the first time, you still have plenty of options left. There can be any number of reasons why you were not originally selected. If you are interested in reapplying, update your profile on ARAMARK.com and apply for the position your interested in.
Sorry, but opportunities aren't transferable. If you decide you're not interested in the position you were offered and would like to be considered for another, you need to decline the first offer and reapply and interview for the new opportunity.
ARAMARK's campus presentations allow you to ask questions in person and find out more about the company's internship opportunities. If you can't make the presentation, don't worry. It doesn't affect the application process or your chances of getting an internship.
For parents we've created the Parent Center on this site. Here they can find information they need about our internship program. If they want to contact us directly, they can email us at college-relations@aramark.com or call our toll-free number, (800) 999-8989, ext 3184
The ideal candidate should be interested in the service industry and management opportunities. They should also be willing to work in a variety of environments and in different roles. Our internships require that individuals work in hands on situations as well as taking on active management roles. Candidates should be self-starters who thrive on a fast paced workplace. They should also be team players, have good organization skills and take the initiative to go the extra mile for our customers and clients. Slackers need not apply.
There really is no typical day at ARAMARK. Every day and every location is different. We can tell you that our clients have very high expectations of us every day. This creates a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment where you need to be constantly on your toes. Our managers are decisive and proactive. As such, they are often able to anticipate our clients' needs and are ready to exceed their expectations.
